Celebrating 150 years of Scottish football

The celebrations started with Scotland's inaugural Women's National Team reuniting as special guests at the FIFA World Cup play-off match against Austria.

On St Andrew's Day, we arranged a special match at the West of Scotland Cricket Club, where local school children re-enacted Scotland's first international football match against England, 150 years later.

At the Scottish Football Museum, we supported the launch of a new 150th Anniversary Exhibit and a free-to-access archive of digitised records.

The festivities concluded with the inaugural Week of Football, a national celebration filled with events and media opportunities to showcase how football positively impacts communities across the country.
